Mauritius, a hub for Africa 20/09/2015

The Republic of Mauritius is a hub for Africa, Asia and the USA, often overlooked by our Walloon SMEs. Indeed, through the Sadc, Comesa and Agoa treaties, this hub opens up the markets linked to Africa. These markets are brought within the reach of our Walloon SMEs, realistically and perfectly sized to the budgets of our SMEs and VSEs.

Mauritius also has bilateral agreements with Turkey, Pakistan and the Republic of the Congo, not forgetting the strong links that have been established with Ghana and Senegal.

In any event, for our companies, the Mauritian market is a niche market with strong added value.

The Mauritian hub represents the optimism of access to markets reputed as being 'typically' African.

Since 2009, through various activities and contact networks, I have promoted the image of our Walloon SMEs and VSEs with Mauritian socio-economic actors from both the public and private sector.
