Princely mission to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman

Within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement between the federal authority and Regions, a joint trade mission will take place in SAUDI ARABIA and OMAN from the 14 to 21 March 2014 and will be presided by HRH Princess Astrid. She will travel first to Riyad, then to Djedda (Saudi Arabia) and Muscat (Oman). Furthermore, an extension is also available to you in Qatar at the end of the mission.

This mission is being organised by the Agency for International Trade in close cooperation with regional bodies for foreign trade (AWEX - Wallonia Foreign Trade and Investment Agency, BIE - Brussels Invest & Export and FIT - Flanders Investment & Trade) and the Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs.

The different cities being visited are Riyad, Djedda in Arabia, Muscat and Duqm (for the business concerned with port operations) in Oman and Doha in Qatar. There's also the possibility for businesses in the energy sectors to go to Dammam at the start of Riyad.

The key sectors for the mission are:

- Infrastructure, construction and logistics services (transportation)

- Energy and the environment.

- All areas of Healthcare

- Education and teaching

- Banking and financial services

- Sport and tourism

The economic and trade attachés there will organise a program of individual appointments with potential partners, according to the wishes of every participating business.
