A therapeutic horse saddle

Have you heard of shiatsu? This discipline aims to care for people by exerting pressure on acupuncture meridians. Marie-France De Mol has made it her profession and applies this technique on… horses. And it works!

Marie-France De Mol has been practising this discipline on horses for several years. She has since added something completely new: applying shiatsu to horses even while they are moving. How? By creating saddle cloths that incorporate magnets. These magnets make it possible to exert pressure on very precise points on meridians while the animal is moving.

By collaborating with a manufacturer based in India, found thanks to AWEX, Marie-France De Mol has succeeded in bringing her project to fruition. She now hopes to extend her range to therapeutic helmets that will de-stress the horse and increase its concentration levels.
