Edible verrine dishes. Colourful stirrups with interchangeable soles. Matching pyjamas for parents and children. A crowdfunding drone. Spectacles to fight the winter blues. What do all these, sometimes, astonishing products have in common?
They can all be placed under your Christmas tree this year. This year, C-nowäl (www.c-nowal.be) is planning to promote Walloon know-how through an offering of innovative and creative gifts.
There is something for all budgets and all tastes. In addition to providing a short description of the products and companies by category, the website provides a link to the respective web stores in order to make the products easier to buy.
On the initiative of the Minister Jean-Claude Marcourt, the Enterprise and Innovation Agency, Innovatech and Wallonie Design have brought together their expertise and their portfolio of Walloon SMEs in order to offer a selection of gifts made locally which you can put under your Christmas tree.
These public bodies have joined forces in this operation through several operators in the field, including the Business and Innovation Centre in Louvain-la-Neuve and LME (the Maison de l’Entreprise).
Up until 24 December, gifts can be won on C-Nowäl’s Facebook page. You would like to spoil your children with a fortress? You feel that your homemade French fries could taste better in equipment made in Wallonia?
