More than 6 million views in less than three days: Stromae’s latest clip for the song “Quand c’est” is a massive hit on the web. And it is a Walloon company that produced it and created the visual effects.
Based in La Hulpe, Benuts specialises in special effects for the big screen. The collaboration between the artist and the company dates back to 2012 when Paul Van Haver, aka Stromae, asked them to produce a clip for one of his famous lessons for “L’humain à l’eau”. It was a huge success! Benuts was later offered the opportunity to create all the visuals for his "Racine Carrée" tour.
A must in 2014, the tour attracted crowds from all over Europe and North America. It was hailed by critics and earned a “Victoire de la musique” award for the best show/concert. Our national star thanked Benuts live during the ceremony as its teams also created the entire extremely graphic visual universe screened behind the singer during his act.
Today, the Benuts team is proud to present the clip "Quand c'est?" which takes a dark but elegant look at cancer and death. Produced in black and white by the French graphic artist Xavier Réyé, the clip was filmed in an abandoned theatre in the region of Liège.
