Wallonia has supported the creation of a multimedia documentary platform and a photojournalism print magazine developed by young Haitian professionals. This project aims to help foster the professionalization of young Haitian photographers, videographers and graphic designers.
The project is already bearing fruit with the development of the web platform and the first edition of a magazine, with a focus on migration issues, available from June 2016.
As part of this initiative, three young photographic journalists have set up an association called Kollectif 2D. They had an opportunity to meet representatives of the Wallonia-Brussels International Bureau in Port-au-Prince to hand over a plaque of honour and merit to Wallonia for supporting Haiti’s up-and-coming photographers, along with a photo album published by them.
