The winners of the 2017 edition of the Festival Tous Courts in Aix-en-Provence has been revealed.

This year, the Wallonia-Brussels Federation was well represented at Festival Tous Courts in Aix-en-Provence.

Competing in International Competition, Calamity by Maxime Feyers and Séverine De Streyker (Next Days Films) and Avec Thelma by Ann Sirot and Raphaël Balboni (Hélicotronc) were both award-winners.

Calamity won the young Jury special prize, while Avec Thelma received the Prix France 3 Libre Court.

Produced by Hélicotronc, Avec Thelma, for its part, is the story of Jean, Vincent’s friend, the latter being Thelma’s (a 3-year-old girl) uncle. When an Icelandic volcano blocks the air space over Europe and keeps Thelma's parents in the United States, Jean and Vincent take Thelma home with them in Brussels for an indefinite time. Together with her, they discover the agonies and ecstasies of parenthood.
