Riiot Labs, the Liege-based start-up hosted by the technology incubator The Faktory, has developed blue by Riiot, the smart pool analyser. The company, which this week is taking part in the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas, the largest high-tech fair in the world, has just received the "smart home" prize as part of the CES Innovation Award.

The Consumer Electronics Show is dedicated to technological innovation in consumer electronics. TV, 3D, audio, tablets, smartphones, connected devices... all the latest innovations are presented at the show. More than 3,800 exhibitors invent the world of tomorrow at the show, to the delight of the 165,000 visitors and more than 6,500 accredited media companies in attendance.

This week, Riiot Labs unveiled its smart pool analyser blue by Riiot. It is the same size and shape as a Thermos flask, and continually transmits all essential data for maintaining the quality of swimming pools. The information can be consulted in real time on a smartphone, via a free app. This innovative product earned the Walloon company an award in the "smart home” category during the CES Innovation Award competition, organised as part of the show.

This category includes various products and software which provide homeowners with sophisticated monitoring and control of the product's functions, and also allow wireless or wired connection to a data network.

On the heels of the Technological Innovation Award in the "New Entrepreneurs" category at the Paris Fair in April 2016, and the huge success among swimming pool professionals at the Piscine Global fair at Lyon in November, the CES Innovation Award can now be added to the list of accolades for Riiot Labs, much to the delight of its team.
