Ghent-based company Tailormade Logistics (TML) which provides road and intermodal transport and logistics services (cross-docking, warehousing, returns) is setting up in Gosselies
Specialising in end-to-end solutions, the Ghent logistics company continues to expand in Wallonia by diversifying its activities to B2C deliveries.
After announcing an investment of over €9 million in the Ghlin-Baudour Nord zone in 2018, TML has continued its development in the Walloon Region by renting a building in Aubange and moving into a 50,000m² space in Gosselies, on the site of the former Caterpillar factory.
The support of AWEX and the Logistics in Wallonia cluster, whose assistance the company has always enjoyed while setting up, encouraged it to continue to invest in Wallonia. It has also received aid from the Walloon Region.
"Wallonia is the best choice by Tailor Made Logistics" according to its CEO. Ideally located near Luxembourg, France and Germany, where TML wanted to increase its activity, Wallonia is the perfect location, with a full range of logistics sites.
Bert Vandecaveye, TML's CEO:"The increase in e-commerce sales during lockdown in Europe has increased the need for large-volume B2C deliveries, and this is a service that integrators such as Bpost, DPD and PostNL do not offer. From Gosselies, we can cover the whole of Benelux and France within 72 hours".
An important criterion for the company in its expansion is the search for qualified, motivated personnel on the one hand, and low-cost land on the other.
