The milliner Herman Headwear, based in Wellin, won the Marianne de Cristal 2016, awarded by the France Belgium Wallonia Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Marianne de Cristal is a unique and prestigious economic award which, every year, distinguishes a company that has developed strong commercial exchanges with France.
"It is the fruit of work carried out over many decades recognised by the French-Belgian market", explained the CEO of the Wellin-based company, Alexandre Herman. "France has always been our leading market. In particular, we bought top-of-the-range workshops in Lyons and Le Mans". Founded in the second half of the 19th century, the family milliner recently branched out to the North-American market with the opening of a showroom in Manhattan. It currently employs 25 people. "We are going to use this award as a support for our communication", added Alexandre Herman.
