On Saturday 3 February, the Liege-based company WNM will again be in charge of TV sound recording and the sound system for the 8thMagritte Awards ceremony as a service provider for RTBF.
Equivalent to the César Awards in France or the Oscars in the USA, every year the Magritte Awards reward French language film professionals for their excellence in various categories, such as "best actor", "best soundtrack", "best film", etc. A good way of turning the spotlights on the experts of cinema that are sometimes not very well-known to the general public. This award, the name of which was chosen as a tribute to René Magritte, the famous Belgian painter, is presented at a prestigious ceremony in Brussels organised by the Académie André Delvaux.
For the 8th year running, RTBF, which produces and broadcasts the live event, has chosen to work with WNM, a company based in Seraing, which will supply some of the equipment and human resources. The latter, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, specialises in sound recordings for sports events, the best known of which are the World Cup and European Cup and the Olympic Games, as well as a whole series of television productions. It has become a reference in the field.
Thanks to its high-tech, multidisciplinary, available and united team, it is also WNM that has been asked, among other things, to manage engineering for radio and TV studios. It also provides training for audiovisual services providers, etc.
